The Canoe in which I was Struck a rock and Sprung a leak in the 3rd rapid, we proceeded on

the officers canoe leaks So that they changes their Baggag in another canoe

October 8th Tuesday 1805

passed 15 rapids four Islands and a Creek on the Stard Side
the men, Several of which Could not Swim hung on to the Canoe,

October 9th Wednesday 1805

the River hills are high and continue barron on each Side.
